Mid-level Svelte engineer
Delivers features independently within established patterns.
About the role We are hiring a Mid-Level Svelte Engineer to build and maintain product features in a Svelte 5 and SvelteKit 2 codebase. You will work closely with product, design, backend, and QA to turn clear requirements into reliable user experiences. What you'll do Implement routes, components, form actions, and data-loading flows in SvelteKit. Build accessible UI with thoughtful loading, empty, error, and success states. Debug issues across browser behavior, server rendering, API responses, and deployment environments. Write tests with tools such as Vitest, Testing Library, and Playwright. Review peer changes and help keep the codebase consistent. What you'll bring Professional experience shipping Svelte or similar component-based front-end applications. Practical understanding of Svelte 5 runes, SvelteKit routing, load functions, forms, and rendering modes. Comfort with TypeScript, HTML, CSS, HTTP, Git, and modern build tooling such as Vite. You communicate trade-offs clearly and ask good questions when requirements are incomplete. Nice to have Experience with SvelteKit authentication patterns, design systems, accessibility testing, observability, or deploying SvelteKit apps with adapters for Node, serverless, or edge environments.
Senior Svelte engineer
Owns significant areas, sets patterns and mentors.
About the role We are hiring a Senior Svelte Engineer to own important product areas in a Svelte 5 and SvelteKit 2 application. You will make architecture decisions, guide implementation quality, and help the team build features that remain understandable as the product grows. What you'll do Design route structures, data-loading boundaries, state management patterns, and form workflows. Lead complex features from technical discovery through release, including performance, accessibility, testing, and observability. Review code for correctness, maintainability, security, and user impact. Partner with backend engineers on API contracts and with designers on component behavior. Mentor engineers through pairing, design review, and practical examples. What you'll bring Strong production experience with SvelteKit or comparable SSR-capable front-end frameworks. Deep understanding of Svelte 5 runes, server versus client execution, load invalidation, cookies/sessions, rendering strategies, and TypeScript. You can diagnose hydration issues, slow routes, state bugs, and browser-only dependency problems. You balance speed with long-term maintainability and explain trade-offs in plain language. Nice to have Experience migrating Svelte 4 to Svelte 5, building design systems, working with real-time data, implementing secure account areas, or operating front ends in regulated or audit-heavy environments.
Lead Svelte engineer
Sets technical direction and leads a team.
About the role We are hiring a Lead Svelte Engineer to set technical direction for a team building a Svelte 5 and SvelteKit 2 product. This role combines hands-on engineering with architecture, coaching, delivery planning, and cross-functional leadership. What you'll do Define front-end standards for routing, data loading, state, forms, testing, accessibility, and performance. Lead design of major initiatives, break them into deliverable milestones, and identify risks early. Support engineers through code review, pairing, mentoring, and architectural guidance. Work with product and design to shape feasible solutions, and with backend/platform teams on contracts, deployment, observability, and incident response. Keep the codebase healthy while still contributing production code. What you'll bring Extensive experience delivering complex web applications, including SvelteKit or another modern SSR framework. Strong judgment around server/client boundaries, security, authorization, caching, rendering modes, component architecture, and migration planning. You can create durable conventions without slowing the team down. You communicate clearly with technical and non-technical partners and raise the quality of others' work. Nice to have Experience leading Svelte migrations, multi-tenant products, design system adoption, performance programs, accessibility compliance work, or teams using Node, serverless, or edge deployment targets.
